The Fokker D.VII flies at last
The Fokker D.VII restoration project, which began in 2005, has finally been completed.
The aircraft was deemed airworthy and made its maiden flight on September 6, 2025, with Aaron Cabooter.
Followed on September 8 by a second, slightly longer flight with Bruno Bedert as
pilot.

Despite the mandatory closure of the museum due to corona, our volunteers have not been idle. Behind the scenes we worked to make our Fokker D.VII airworthy.
After all, he has not flown since his arrival at the museum and belonged to the static museum section, along with the Sopwith Camel.
That is now gradually changing. The first engine tests were carried out on March 8, 2022, with satisfactory results.
